Manufacturing Team Lead
Cambridge UK Full-time Permanent
We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Team Lead to join a fast-growing technology business at the forefront of robotics and advanced manufacturing. This is a unique opportunity to lead a small team while directly shaping production processes and scaling manufacturing operations.
The Opportunity
As a Manufacturing Team Lead you will combine technical expertise with team leadership to ensure the successful build testing and support of complex robotic or automation systems. Youll play a pivotal role in scaling production while staying actively involved on the shop floor.
What Youll Do
Lead mentor and develop a small team of manufacturing technicians.
Take a hands-on role in assembly testing and refurbishment of systems.
Ensure safety standards 5S and robust work practices are followed.
Support production planning to deliver new builds and upgrades on time.
Collaborate with engineers to transfer new products into production.
Drive continuous improvement and introduce lean manufacturing practices.
Create and maintain documentation including build instructions and skills matrices.
What Were Looking For
Post-18 study in engineering operations management or a related technical subject.
Proven supervisory or leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on technical experience in assembly build or testing.
Demonstrated success in problem-solving and process improvement.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
A proactive collaborative mindset with the ability to balance process with flexibility.
Full clean UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.
