About ESS:

ESS provides a home away from home for people working in remote mining villages. We provide the hospitality solutions to ensure all guests are getting the comforts of home even in isolated locations.

ESS manages all aspects of large-scale accommodation facilities or villages for remote workers providing the essential comforts such as a hot meal a clean bed to health and wellness facilities for those working away from home.

The Position:

We are seeking experienced Cleaners/ Caterers to join our team at Curtis Island on a Casual basis starting asap. Here you will work alongside our professional team who strive to create a fun and safe work environment.

Industrial Cleaning: Your tasks will include but not limited to. Cleaning offices cleaning toilet blocks cleaning tea shacks rubbish removal restocking and cleaning crib huts chemical handling.

Kitchen Hand: Your tasks will include but not limited to. Making sandwiches/ salads cleaning the kitchen dish/pot wash rubbish removal restocking food items cleaning kitchen equipment mopping/scrubbing floors chemical handling stock unloading cleaning dining rooms restocking bar/drink items vacuuming/mopping till operation serving drinks

To be considered for the role you must:

Have previous cleaning/ catering experience
Be able to work 20 hours minimum per week
Be physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment function and drug and alcohol screen
Ability to work efficiently without supervision and as a team player
Have current drivers licence and transport to get to and from the ferry daily (5am)
Be a Gladstone local
