AI Engineer - Data London - on site - to 130k
Vertex Search are excited to be partnered with a newly-launched AI startup based in London with incredible founders (Oxbridge PhDs FAANG research lab experience) working on novel forecasting problems.
The client is looking for a mission-driven candidate to help them push the frontier of forecasting accuracy. The role has an emphasis on creating new sources of data whether for training or information retrieval from a variety of sources. Tasks include:
- Onboarding new information retrieval sources
- Building tool-using LLM agents
- Creatively finding new sources of forecasting questions for reinforcement learning
- Running experiments to evaluate improvements to the forecasting system
Desired skills
- Exceptional academic achievements from a minimum BSc STEM degree
- Strong Python coding ability
- Experience sourcing and evaluating datasets e.g. in a quant finance or other role
- Experience with an LLM agent framework e.g. LangGraph DSPy PydanticAI
- Experience working in a research / lab setting
- Strong work ethic
Nice-to-have skills
- Experience creating training data for AI/ML models
- Familiarity with forecasting
Location
- This is an in-person role 5 days per week.
- The offices are in London close to Kings Cross.
- The client will consider visa sponsorship for exceptional candidates.
