Job Responsibilities
Under the direction of the superintendent/designee the candidate is responsible for all activities involved in educational operations including individualizing and tailoring instruction to meet the academic needs of secondary-level inmate students.
These academic needs may include pre-GED GED high school units or career-related courses.
Plans prepares and conducts lessons and activities based on federal and state regulations for the education of students with disabilities.
Maintains accurate records of students attendance and class progress.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of
SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications
Certification in secondary math science social studies English/language arts or special educational preferred.
