Primary Technology: Endpoint Customer Support
Secondary Technology: Microsoft OS Microsoft Server Cisco LAN
Independently installs monitors/maintains configures upgrades &/or administers/operates assigned multiple technology domains:
- Installs maintains configures upgrades &/or administers hardware &/or software independently in workstation support network administration server administration business continuity information security telecommunications & network connectivity & SAN administration (i.e. multiple technology domains) where technical work requires specific knowledge to evaluate select adapt & modify standard procedures; devises new approaches to problems encountered;
- Diagnoses analyzes & resolves issues for customer(s) across assigned multiple technology domains;
- Creates organizes files & maintains documentation;
- Reviews & monitors enterprise security systems; Takes appropriate action & responds to alarms/alerts per agency policy & procedure (e.g. anti-virus spam);
- Answers questions & presents informal mentorship opportunities to peers &/or lower-level staff via conversation observation or technical documentation;
- Interfaces with other platforms from a hardware &/or software perspective.
Job duty knowledge skill & ability statements at a lower-level are understood to be able to be performed at any higher level.

48 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing monitoring/maintaining configuring upgrading &/or administering/operating multiple technology domains including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
-Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; AND 30 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing monitoring/maintaining configuring upgrading &/or administering/operating multiple technology domains including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; AND 24 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing monitoring/maintaining configuring upgrading &/or administering/operating multiple technology domains including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.
-Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

This position is essential meaning the duties this job performs are critical to the continued operations of the Ohio Department of Public Safety during a public safety emergency (OAC 123:& DAS Directive HR-D-11). This position will be required to report for duty during any public safety emergency.

- A BCI and FBI fingerprint check a background check including a polygraph examination may be required on all selected applicants.
