Job Summary

The Business Office Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring efficient administrative operations within our fast-paced Ambulatory Surgery Center. Responsibilities include patient check-in data entry reception management document handling and administrative support across various business office functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized and customer-focused with prior experience in a healthcare or business office setting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Entry & Records Management

  • Accurately enter and update patient vendor and employee data in electronic systems.

  • Review data for accuracy ensuring HIPAA and confidentiality compliance.

  • Organize scan and maintain both physical and digital records.

  • Generate internal reports as needed.

2. Front Desk & Customer Service

  • Greet and assist patients visitors and vendors in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Answer and route calls; take and relay accurate messages.

  • Schedule appointments verify insurance and gather required documentation.

  • Maintain reception area appearance and manage visitor protocols.

  • Process mail and deliveries efficiently.

3. General Office Support

  • Perform administrative duties such as copying faxing and document preparation.

  • Track office supplies.

  • Assist with record management and compliance documentation.

  • Support the facilitys adherence to The Joint Commission HIPAA and internal policies.

  • Provide additional clerical support as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook).

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Dependable with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work (5:00 AM- 1:30 PM) shift

Preferred:

  • 2 years experience in a healthcare administrative or customer service role.

  • Experience with data entry and document management.

  • Current Notary
