The Boeing Company is currently seeking Senior Software EngineersSystems to support our Flight Software team located in El Segundo California. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business organization.

The ideal Senior Software System Engineers will be passionate about space and excited to work in a multi-disciplined collaborative engineering environment that supports the design development and implementation of software for existing and emerging Boeing commercial and government space programs.

This exciting position requires demonstrated experience with the software development full life cycle (requirements design code test) ability to lead a team and the clear exhibition of superior judgment and decision making to engineer new solutions and support existing capabilities for multiple software programming projects. Demonstrated critical thinking and troubleshooting skills are required.

Position Responsibilities:

• Software development tasks including requirements analysis software architecture designs integration and formal qualification.

• Assisting with the development documentation and maintenance of architectures requirements algorithms interfaces and designs for software systems.

• Developing software verification plans test procedures and test environments

• Working and interfacing with a technically diverse user community and a multi-disciplined integrated product team (systems and software).

• Highly motivated and must work well in a team environment

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• Ability to Obtain U.S. Secret Interim Pre-Start & Final Post Start

• 10 years of classroom or work-related experience with the Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis Design Code Integration & Test)

• 3 years of experience in software development using languages such as Go Java C/C Rust or Python

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science

• Experience using team collaboration tools including GitLab Bitbucket JIRA and Confluence

• Experience with the full software development lifecycle that includes requirements analysis through Formal Qualification
