Depot Manager (Heavy Plant Hire) Northwich 45000 Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
Are you an experienced leader in plant hire or transport operations Were looking for a hands-on Depot Manager to run a busy and growing depot for a leading heavy plant company based in Northwich.
Salary: 45000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Location: Northwich Cheshire
About the Role:
As Depot Manager youll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the depot - overseeing plant equipment coordinating logistics managing staff and ensuring all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of plant machinery and transport coordination who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all depot activities including transport logistics maintenance and plant hire operations
Ensure the safe and efficient movement and servicing of all plant machinery
Manage and motivate a team of drivers fitters and yard staff
Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and collections
Monitor equipment usage availability and maintenance schedules
Maintain high standards of health & safety and compliance across the site
Report on depot performance costs and KPIs to senior management
What Were Looking For:
Proven experience in a Depot Manager Transport Manager or Operations Manager role
Solid understanding of plant equipment and transport logistics
Strong leadership and communication skills
Organised proactive and capable of managing multiple priorities
Knowledge of relevant compliance HGV regulations and health & safety standards
