About the Role
Chevron is seeking highly motivated International Tax Analysts/Advisors and Sr. Tax Analysts/Advisors to join our International Tax Operations team. This role partners closely with various groups within Tax and the broader Finance organization to deliver high-quality analytical and technical deliverables. The ideal candidate excels at demonstrating strong technical and analytical skills and has excellent attention to detail and communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to the following:
- Support U.S. international tax compliance for Chevrons global operations including preparing reviewing and modeling calculations for GILTI FDII BEAT Subpart F and/or foreign tax credits.
- Prepare accurate well-documented and organized tax workpapers for various branches divisions and corporations and related IRS forms.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP requirements and internal policies in all tax-related reporting.
- Gather and analyze data needed to respond to inquiries from Federal revenue agencies.
- Support audits and assist in compiling documentation for tax examinations.
- Build a strong understanding of Chevrons global operations by partnering with both finance and business teams.
- Provide tax analysis and insights on proposed transactions law changes and other business initiatives (including modeling tax implications).
- Identify and implement systems and process enhancements to improve tax compliance reporting and audit readiness.
- Leverage digital tools such as Power Query and Power BI to streamline data gathering analysis and reporting processes.
- Promote effective teamwork and foster collaboration across departments and with various stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required; MST or CPA preferred.
- 5 years of corporate income tax experience including significant exposure to U.S. international tax compliance.
- Expertise in CorpTax and SAP is highly desired.
- Strong tax-technical knowledge analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and proficient in Excel data analysis and modeling.
- Experience performing complex tax calculations analysis and tax research.
- Proven record in leveraging digital tools to gain efficiencies.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership and lead complex projects or initiatives.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities.
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
