Job Summary

All bargaining unit and exempt new hires to ODOT must serve a one-year probationary period.

This position is overtime exempt per FLSA standards

If this position is filled internally the wage rate will be determined in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code.

The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. Criminal convictions do not necessarily preclude an applicant from consideration for a position. An individual assessment of an applicants prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration.

Completion of undergraduate core program in business administration management or public administration; 36 mos. 36 mos. supervisory administrative &/or managerial position.


-Or completion of undergraduate core program for academic field of study commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on File; 36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. supervisory administrative managerial &/or staff position involving planning research &/or policy/procedure development.


-Or 5 yrs. trg. or 5 yrs. business administration management or public administration.


-Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 2 63123.


-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.


Job Skills: Program Management

What you will be doing:

  • Analyzes evaluates and manages the consultant prequalification program.
  • Acts as the PreQ System manager (e.g. initiates annual updates; solicits proposed changes; implements changes to the PreQ System; tests & verifies system updates for deployment in PreQ; provides approvals & denials in the PreQ System).
  • Provides information on prequalification program &/or policy to private organizations government officials & general public; maintains & updates Prequalification Requirements Manual & coordinates with Communications for publishing.
  • Manages Good Faith Efforts (GFE) process for Professional Services and coordinates with GFE Committee.
  • Oversees budget and provides budget preparation and administration for invoice and project schedule (IPS) forms.
  • Administers consultant procurement process (e.g. oversees Controlling Board requests; encumbers funds; participates in consultant selection).
