Patient Services Culinary Specialist

Overview

Trustbridge Hospice in Boca Rotan a division of Empath Health is seeking a detail-oriented Full-Time Patient Services Culinary Specialist/Cookto help promote and follow all dietary policies and procedures in the Care Centers to ensure safe food practices. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our programs and services meet regulatory dietary requirements and reflect best practices that benefit our patients families and community.

What Youll Do

• Prepare food according to standardized recipes as outlined on the food production program plans and coordinates cooking schedules prepares and serves meals for special functions and maintains a clean and orderly kitchen and dining room.
• Provides dining services to patients and guests while maintaining and exceeding hospitality and service standards.
• Ensures attractive and palatable food selections for patients at flexible times to meet individual needs of patients.
• The Cook will be responsible for assignment of tasks/duties for staff present during shift. The Cook will communicate kitchen staffs performance successes/issues to Dietary Supervisor.

Position Requirements

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years of successful experience in a hospital nursing home governmental or school facility food service program or successful completion of a formalized technical education or other food service class.
• Desire to work with Hospice patients.
• Ability to provide dishwashing services and assist in providing dining services which meet or exceed hospitality and service standards.
• Ability to read and follow instructions to meet needs of kitchen services and cleaning.
