OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
As an iSeries/BY Senior Techno Functional Consultant L3 you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions leveraging your expertise in iSeries and Blue Yonder (BY) platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design implement and optimize enterprise solutions ensuring alignment with client objectives and HCLTechs standards of innovation and quality. This role is critical to delivering value-driven technology solutions that drive operational efficiency and business growth.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the analysis design and implementation of iSeries and Blue Yonder (BY) solutions for enterprise-level clients.
- Gather and interpret business requirements to develop functional and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver end-to-end techno-functional solutions ensuring optimal integration with existing systems.
- Provide expert guidance in solution architecture process optimization and best practices for iSeries/BY environments.
- Oversee the configuration customization and support of BY applications including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Manage project deliverables timelines and documentation in accordance with HCLTechs quality standards.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior consultants and development teams.
- Facilitate user training sessions and ensure effective knowledge transfer to client teams.
- Stay abreast of industry trends new technologies and emerging best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related field.
- 7 years of experience in techno-functional consulting with a focus on iSeries (AS/400) and Blue Yonder (BY) platforms.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise application architecture business process mapping and systems integration.
- Expertise in RPG CL COBOL programming languages and DB2 database management on iSeries.
- Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder modules such as WMS TMS or Demand Planning.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and deliver high-impact results.
- Excellent communication stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS (OPTIONAL)
- Professional certifications in Blue Yonder IBM iSeries or project management (PMP PRINCE2) are highly desirable.
- Experience working in multinational or large enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally as required.
