Responsibilities
In keeping with Dignity Health core values the Labor & Delivery Scrub Technician functions as a team member during the preoperative intra-operative and postoperative phases of obstetrical surgical procedures and vaginal deliveries. They actively participates as a member of the Labor & Delivery Patient Care Team.
Qualifications
- Acute care experience.
- Nurse assistants (CNA) / Unit clerks without acute care experience within one (1) year will be considered on an individual basis.
- A minimum of one (1) year recent hospital experience (or equivalent) in the capacity of:
- a) an Operating Room Technician
- b)an OB Scrub Tech or
- c) an OB Tech;
- or must have all of the following:
- a) received practical education within the Hospital/surgical center or OB department within the last six (6) months
- b) above average performance during practical education and
- c) completion of a Surgical Technologist training program.
- High school education (or equivalent)
- BLS-CPR certification.
- Scrub technician experience desired.
- CNA Certificate Desired
- Successful completion of an OR Technician Training program is highly desired.
