At Metropolitan Human Services District (MHSD) we are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Health Information Specialistto join our dedicated team and help support our vital mission. The individual in this role will be a key member of the Quality and Data Management Team responsible for managing survey data (e.g. compiling verifying accuracy sorting and data entry into databases).

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in medical records or as a patient coder; OR
Two years of experience in medical records or as a patient coder plus registration with the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA); OR
A bachelors degree in health information.

Job Duties:
This position is responsible for managing survey data monitoring outcomes and providing system support for both the Electronic Health Record (CareLogic) and the State survey data system (TeleSage).
Key duties include:
- independently performing complex administrative tasks
- auditing health records
- compiling and distributing data reports
- participating in quality monitoring and improvement activities
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational Promotional or Job Appointment
Compensation:The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
