The Health Services Director (HS Director) is responsible for the overall success of the medical programs at NATIVE HEALTH and for meeting objectives goals productivity benchmarks clinical outcomes and driving future growth. The HS Director oversees the administrative management of the day-to-day operations and policies and procedures for the medical clinics at all agency clinic sites. The Health Services Director ensures services delivered are patient and family-centered and integrated with other operational areas within the organization. The Health Services Director works closely with the Chief Medical Officer and Practice Managers to ensure clinical services are aligned with NATIVE HEALTHs mission and strategic plan.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provides direction to the planning development and operation of NATIVE HEALTHs medical services and strategies.
- Regularly monitors analyzes and reports the status of NATIVE HEALTHs Medical clinics and programs.
- Reviews and evaluates programs and services to assure quality and compliance with NATIVE HEALTH policies and procedures and with regulatory agencies.
- Leads and manages staff through mentoring coaching and supervision ensuring staff engagement to meet organizational and department goals and objectives.
- Provides fiscal oversight for the Medical Division.
- Provides education analysis and administrative information in assisting NATIVE HEALTH in policy development decision making and priority setting.
- Supports the organization as needed.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES:
- Considerable knowledge of public/ healthcare administration including finance; budget and grant management personnel; contracts; local state and federal rules requirements and best practices.
- Considerable knowledge of the organization and current trends for medical practice and operations.
- Ability to establish program goals and objectives and to assess progress toward their achievement.
- Assures adherence to patient bill of rights data privacy record protection HIPAA regulations and record retention policies.
- Utilizes and supports the team concept in program design and development.
- Ability to handle administration of multiple program sites and establish and maintain cooperative relationships with agency staff other agencies patients clients and the public.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications :
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:/REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in healthcare administration or a related field is required.
- MPH or related masters degree preferred.
- Five years of experience in the field of public health or healthcare administration required preferably in primary care (family medicine practice).
- Five years of supervisory experience required.
- Three years of experience in managing government contracts and grants is preferred.
- Some travel is required to other locations to facilitate execution of responsibilities.
- Strong project management skills including complex projects resulting in measurable program growth.
Standard Employment Requirements:
- Must possess a valid and unrestricted Arizona drivers license (within 30 days of hire if applicant is from out-of-state) with no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions in the last five years. No more than two at-fault accidents in the last three years. Must maintain a valid Arizona drivers license during employment. Must be insurable under NATIVE HEALTHs liability auto policy.
- Must pass a criminal background check and obtain a Class I Fingerprint Clearance Card within the initial ninety (90) calendar days of employment and retain a valid card while employed with NATIVE HEALTH.
- Must pass substance abuse testing upon employment and submit to random testing during employment.
- Must provide an updated immunization (IZ) record at the time of employment.
- Must have a current (within 12 months) Tuberculosis (TB) skin report upon employment and provide an annual update.
- Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within (90) calendar days of employment and maintain certification during employment.
