Job Summary

Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical School District is looking to hire a Director of Human Resources. This position is designed for the purposes of managing assigned operations in accordance with district policies; providing information to the Superintendent of Schools staff and the public; ensuring compliance to established policies procedures and/or codes; and addressing a variety of administrative needs and processes. Major areas of focus include: 1) Recruitment and Selection of staff and admission of students 2) Labor Relations 3) Oversight of the Districts Employee Evaluation Program 4) Federal and State Laws governing teacher licensing 5) Workers Compensation/OFLA/FMLA programs. The Human Resources Director serves as an ambassador for the district to recruit and retain the highest quality faculty and Responsibilities:- Provides leadership and training in developing staff evaluation procedures.- Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with collective bargaining groups for the purpose of ensuring good employee relations. - Collaborates with the districts negotiation team at the direction of the Superintendent for the purpose of assisting district negotiation of labor agreements developing proposals and recommending negotiation strategy. - Supports the Superintendent during labor management meetings and the negotiation process.- Supports the process for providing new employees with the necessary materials they need to have upon hire.- Protects confidentiality of records and information about staff and uses discretion when sharing any such information within legal confines.- Participates in regional and national human resources organizations. - Supervises personnel record keeping procedures to ensure that personnel processes are in compliance with district state and federal requirements. - Directs compensation and benefit programs for the district (i.e. classification of jobs payment of wage health insurance open enrollment workers compensation) for the purpose of ensuring the district is in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations. - Directs employee background and fingerprint process for the purpose the district is in compliance with applicable state regulation.- Directs insurance programs (i.e. medical dental vision voluntary short/long term disability etc.) for the purpose of ensuring open enrollment billing and claims COBRA conversations are processed in a timely and accurate manner.- Writes and maintains the Employee Handbooks.- Supports the use of the districts absence management software and tracking system. - Manages human resources databases.- Researches a wide variety of information (i.e. current personnel practices policies codes laws etc.) for the purpose of providing information recommendations and/or addressing a variety of administrative requirements. - Oversees and implements new teacher/staff orientations.- Oversees and implements mentor and induction programs.- Supports the Superintendent during labor management meetings and the negotiation process.- Supports the process for providing new employees with the necessary materials they need to have upon hire.- Protects confidentiality of records and information about staff and uses discretion when sharing any such information within legal confines.- Participates in regional and national human resources organizations. - Supervises personnel record keeping procedures to ensure that admissions and personnel processes are in compliance with district state and federal requirements.- Directs compensation and benefit programs for the district (i.e. classification of jobs payment of wage health insurance open enrollment workers compensation) for the
