Job Description

Maintenance Mechanic$20.33 per hour to start with ability to test to next Labor Grade Pay after successful completion of 90-day probation. Union membership and benefits required to include paid vacation sick and personal leave paid medical benefits and Life insurance. Educational Reimbursement for skill growth and company matching contribution retirement plan.

Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Receives assignments for the maintenance and repair of all physical structures properties and equipment owned by the Authority.

Must have ability to read write and understand and carry out oral and written direction. Must have working knowledge and skills in the operation of manual and power-driven tools. Must have valid driverslicense and physically capable of lifting fifty (50) pounds from the ground to the height of a pick-up bed.

One year experience in general building maintenance or building trades. Or three years experienceas handyman. Knowledge and skills required and necessary to prepare rental apartments with repairs to include installing and repairing basic electrical fixtures basic plumbing repairs repairing/replacing flooring repairing cleaning and painting walls. Performs general grounds and landscaping and snow removal and clearing of sidewalks and parking lots. Assist with inspections by making repairs.
