SDOT has an exciting opportunity for a collaborative detail-oriented and impact-driven Assistant Traffic Operations Review Engineer (under the Citys classification title of Assistant Civil Engineer). This position is part of SDOTs Transportation Operations Division (TOD) a team dedicated to delivering a safe reliable efficient and socially equitable transportation system that enhances Seattles environment and economic vitality.
Position Overview
SDOT is excited to announce a new Assistant Traffic Operations Review Engineer position under the citys classification of (Assistant Civil Engineer III). This position will play a key role in improving traffic safety and mobility across the city. Responsibilities include investigating traffic operations concerns evaluating innovative solutions to enhance safety and efficiency developing construction-ready design plans supporting construction coordination and updating asset information to maintain system addition this position will assist in the development and documentation of SDOT policies and guidelines and review transportation-related plans from SDOT programs to ensure compliance with relevant codes standards and City goals. The role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders supporting the Senior Engineer in day-to-day project oversight and contributing to the broader mission of delivering a safe and reliable transportation network for Seattle. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology; or other combinations of education and/or experience which provide preparation to do professional civil engineering work.

The full salary range for this position is $53.23 $62.15 per hour.
