Job Summary and Responsibilities

Job Summary/Purpose:

The LifeTalks Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination and facilitation of the LifeTalks program including group sessions training workshops curriculum development ongoing support for program Guides program evaluation community outreach and role requires a strong understanding of adult education principles experience working with older adults and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Essential Function

Program Delivery & Facilitation: Lead LifeTalks sessions adapting to group dynamics while adhering to the curriculum. Provide ongoing support guidance and mentorship to trained Guides.

Facilitation & Relational Skills: Proven experience in group facilitation excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to enter deepen and end relational conversations with tact and grace.

Knowledge & Sensitivity: Understanding of concerns faced by the elderly and/or isolated including grief and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Self-Management & Initiative: Self-initiative self-direction adaptability to changing circumstances and strong organizational and time management skills.

Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to collaborate and inspire others as well as work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Training & Recruitment: Conduct train-the-trainer workshops for new Guides actively recruit screen and onboard new participants.

Facilitation & Relational Skills: Proven experience in group facilitation excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to enter deepen and end relational conversations with tact and grace.

Program Development & Evaluation: Contribute to curriculum development and refinement collect and analyze program data to assess effectiveness and inform future improvements.

Critical Thinking Skills: Analyze and Prioritize Feedback from participants and stakeholders to adjust program and curriculum to meet established goals.

Self-Management & Initiative: Self-initiative self-direction adaptability to changing circumstances and strong organizational and time management skills.

Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to collaborate and inspire others as well as work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Community Engagement & Administration: Develop community partnerships implement marketing strategies manage program schedules materials and resources.

Ability to identify potential sites and promote LifeTalks create relationships and partnerships with representatives work collaboratively to recruit participants mentor/train facilitators. Additionally will need to keep organized records of feedback schedule group sessions and meetings to support trained volunteers.

Job Requirements

Education/Experience:

  • Associates Degree
  • 1-3 years Group Facilitation and experience working with community elders preferred

Licensure/Certification:

WA DL Required
