Job Summary:
In collaboration with clinical and administrative leadership the Magnet Program Director assumes hospital-wide responsibility for coordinating all aspects of the Magnet application designation and re-designation process. Responsible for assuring that Magnet standards are deployed and evidence-based practice and performance excellence are hardwired into all areas of the organization. The Director of the Magnet Program will facilitate and oversee the preparation of documentation policies research activities related to acquiring and maintaining Magnet designation.
Job Responsibilities:
Bachelors of Nursing
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
3-5 years nursing experience required with experience developing and conducting education programs.
Prior Management or project management experience is required.
RN
American Heart Association BLS
MSN or a related Masters degree preferred
Previous experience in Magnet accredited organization or experience in Magnet accreditation process highly desirable.
