Program Initiatives (PI) is part of the Primary and Community- Based Care portfolio at Ontario Health. Employing a collaborative and cross-programmatic approach the PI team leads large-scale complex cross-programmatic projects to address quality access capacity and measurement gaps at the system level often requiring significant change management. Foundational to the PI work is the development and implementation of new models of care initiatives that focus on identifying opportunities to optimize the use of health human resources care settings and technology to re-configure and streamline teams processes and structures.
The Analyst Program Initiatives will play a key role on a cross-functional team supporting large-scale projects aimed at modernizing cancer screening programs in Ontario. Primarily the Analyst assists the Manager Team Leader or Project Manager in executing Cancer Screening mandates within specific focus areas by delivering essential activities and developing necessary outputs. This role involves designing processes and tools to implement core activities and achieve program goals. The Analyst supports complex wide-ranging projects that often span multiple areas of expertise. Responsibilities include producing analyses communications presentations and other project deliverables. Success in this role requires exceptional written graphical and verbal communication skills strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities and the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Additionally the Analyst must demonstrate excellent organizational skills to prioritize team requests efficiently.
Here is what you will be doing:
Supports the Manager Team Lead or Project Manager in organizing and managing project working group meetings and related activities.
Develops project deliverables including project management artifacts such as project charters detailed project plans and other control documentation.
Defines project scope and deliverables in collaboration with the Manager Team Leader or Project Manager.
Creates various products to support program and project plans internal and external communications reporting and decision-making. These include tools templates briefing notes communications presentations process flows current state assessments impact assessments status updates and other project materials.
Leads the analysis of information to complete project deliverables by researching multiple sources organizing and facilitating working sessions with key stakeholders to gather data and coordinating formal reviews and approvals.
Identifies project risks and issues evaluates options for resolution and recommends courses of action.
Monitors adherence to project schedules by tracking and reporting progress providing forecasts for final delivery timelines and identifying and resolving schedule risks.
May manage multiple project deliverables processes and workstreams concurrently.
Provides support and coordination for internal and external meetings including organizing logistics preparing materials tracking action items and ensuring follow-up.
Collaborates with staff across Cancer Screening and Ontario Health including administrative and clinical leadership on cross-functional projects.
Develops and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including healthcare providers administrators patient and family advisors project teams and committees.
Offers innovative and creative solutions to enhance quality and improve work processes.
Develops novel approaches to address business project and operational support needs.
Performs cross-functional and other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned or requested.
Here is what you will need to be successful:
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree (masters degree preferred) in Health Science Health Administration Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificate in project management (CAPM or PMP) is an asset
3-4 years of related work experience is required
Experience conducting analysis in a project or operational setting
Experience working on projects is preferred
Experience in a health care setting is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook; skilled in creating products (e.g. reports presentations paper diagrams) for multiple audiences
Experience in MS Project an asset
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of project management methodologies and standards.
Strong analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Excellent written verbal and graphical communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely convey key messages to diverse stakeholders and audiences.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities capable of engaging and building consensus among varied stakeholders.
