Description
The Americas Region is seeking a qualified individual to focus on Hardware Services sales and serve as an escalation path for other Services this role the Services Sales Manager will provide the business and technical domain acumen required in customer engagements to build credibility increase revenue and accelerate the sales cycle! This position is a senior level front line sales role which acts as an overlay to the Account Manager and works across all NI Business Units. A strong predictor of success in this role is the ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional teams consisting of Account Managers Operations Product Planning Support Contracts and Legal!
Services NI Hardware Services enable customers to get started quickly and operate more efficiently throughout the life cycle of their test system. These services reduce long-term operational costs minimizing downtime and maintain accurate traceable measurements of these critical test assets. Examples of Hardware Services include warranty calibration sparing technology refresh and long lifecycle management services.
Responsibilities
- Prospect advance and close new Hardware Services sales by collaborating with the Account Sales team
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle of an assigned pipeline of custom Hardware Services Agreements coming up for a renewal
- Lead On-site/Virtual customer meetings to build credibility and guide deep technical and business discovery
- Create custom proposals outlining entitlements to best fit customer needs. Work with customer management to build and/or validate financial models supporting the value of the proposed investment
- Marshal internal resources of Legal Contracts and Support to provide unified NI team and customer facing message
- Work with customer Legal Procurement Engineering Management & Test Operations to navigate the agreement sales/buying process
- Act as the primary deal negotiator and expert on behalf of NI
- Serve as an escalation path for other Services opportunities such as Resident Engineering Custom Engineering etc.
Qualifications
- 8years of sales experience or equivalent services experience
- A demonstrated track record of achieving revenue objectives
- Strong time management and long-term initiative focus
- Expertise in selling business value to key decision makers and managers
- Ability to work under pressure/conflict from tenured counter negotiators
- Ability to formulate and implement creative strategies to win complex opportunities
- Experience leading and coaching through influence and marshaling cross-functional resources
- (Preferred) Understanding and experience selling fundamental Hardware Services such as repair calibration sparing lifecycle engineering and obsolescence management
- (Preferred) Experience in sales negotiations involving business terms
- (Preferred) Understanding of the automated test market
Considerations
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident
- Compensation: 60/40 (base/commission)
- Location: US. Austin TX (Preferred) but flexible with easy access to airport
- Travel: Estimated 15%-25% travel. This is a customer facing role. The amount of overnight travel will depend on location.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary within the local market in which we operate and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $165000 - $245000 annually commensurate with the skills talent capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
