The Opportunity:

Stanley College is seeking an experienced Academic Resource Manager (LMS) to oversee and optimise the management of our Learning Management System (Canvas LMS). Based at our West Perth campus this role plays a key part in supporting both Vocational Education and Higher Education delivery ensuring our digital learning platforms run smoothly remain compliant and continue to evolve in line with best practices.

Reporting to the General Manager ICT you will manage a small team of LMS Administrators and Helpdesk staff while collaborating with academic IT and student services teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day LMS operations ensuring performance updates and technical issue resolution.
  • Oversee content upload and organisation across VET and Higher Education.
  • Provide training support and clear user guides for staff instructors and administrators.
  • Monitor LMS data and reporting using insights to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure seamless integration with Student Management Systems (SMS) and other tools.
  • Lead and mentor LMS support staff
  • Stay abreast of e-learning trends and introduce innovations to improve user experience.
  • Contribute to compliance risk management and quality assurance frameworks.

About You

  • Bachelors degree in IT Computer Science Educational Technology or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as an LMS Manager or Academic Resource Manager.
  • In-depth knowledge of Canvas LMS; experience with LTI integrations and multimedia formats.
  • Strong understanding of VET and Higher Education compliance (AQF TEQSA ASQA).
  • Skilled in troubleshooting analytics and system configuration.
  • Excellent communication and user training ability.
  • Experience in managing a small team.
  • Additional skills in Power BI data visualisation Microsoft 365 HTML/CSS or ITIL Foundation will be highly regarded.
