The Position

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to join the European Client Group and to focus on the firms business development activities with Institutional prospects and clients in Switzerland. Based out of the Zurich office this individual will play an important strategic role in driving growth across Wellingtons full product suite with pension funds public institutions and insurance companies in Switzerland and France.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

* Developing and executing the firms sales strategy with Institutional and Consultant prospects and clients in Switzerland;

* Driving growth across the firms range of investment strategies in line with business priorities;

* Developing successful long term relationship with strategic partners in partnership with Relationship Management colleagues;

* Contributing to the development of wider industry relationships;

* Partnering closely with Marketing and PR colleagues to ensure that local marketing and sales strategies are closely aligned and contributing to the continued growth in brand awareness;

* Providing guidance and direction to Relationship Analysts;

* Ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

The successful candidate is likely to:

* Have 10 years of relevant industry experience including experience of leading Institutional sales activities in both French and German speaking regions of Switzerland;

* Have a demonstrable track record of successfully developing and managing a network of Institutional client relationships;

* Have a comprehensive understanding of competitors products key market trends and industry developments;

* Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of financial markets and investment strategies and an ability to influence through a content-led consultative sales approach;

* Be action orientated accountable committed driven and self-motivated with excellent communication and team working skills;

* Have the ability to prioritise focus eliminate roadblocks and execute a sales strategy in a timely manner;

* Demonstrate a high level of integrity and trust and a client centric focus;

* Have a strong academic background including an undergraduate degree. A relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFA) would be viewed favourably;

* Be fluent in English and ideally French and/or German / Swiss German.
