Job Summary

Were looking for a skilled Systems Engineer (Cloud) to join our team and play a pivotal role in deploying and managing mission-critical application infrastructure on this role youll ensure the resilience security and scalability of cloud-based applications while working closely with development teams to deliver seamless deployments. Youll also provide technical expertise and architectural documentation to clients confidently addressing their security needs.

What youll be doing

Supporting highly available secure and scalable applications and infrastructure on AWS compute and storage platforms.
Managing deployments into client environments while identifying opportunities to reduce cost and risk.
Establishing and maintaining monitoring solutions (CloudWatch logs & events).
Partnering with development teams on application builds CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
Collaborating with AWS technical resources to apply best practices.
Migrating Linux and Windows-based applications into AWS.
Overseeing AWS application licensing billing and service breakdowns.

What were looking for

5 years experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer (or similar role).
Relevant AWS qualifications and/or certifications.
Strong knowledge of AWS core services (e.g. EC2 RDS ELB EBS S3 VPC Glacier IAM).
Sound understanding of cloud security best practices and architectural optimization.
Excellent technical knowledge paired with strong communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
Flexibility to work after-hours shifts and on-call (with attractive allowances).
Experience with Windows/Linux/DBA.
Knowledge of basic networking principles.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform scripting).
Experience working with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
