Job Summary

Job Title	HHD Student Success Center Student Assistant
Salary	Classification Range $16.90 - $24.00 per hour Anticipated hiring range depending on qualifications not to exceed $18.

Work Schedule	Monday - Friday 9 AM - 5 PM
Job Summary	Under the general direction of the Associate Dean and Assistant Director of Advising the Student Assistant provides day-to-day assistance and support to the HHD Student Success Centers students staff and faculty. Assist in the day-to-day operations of the office that include but are not limited to answering and transferring phone calls; assisting walk-in students staff and faculty; scheduling advising appointments for students; office correspondence and light clean-up duties. Assist with special events and workshops. Supply inventory and restocking. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications	Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with staff faculty and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position. Ability to multi-task with effective time management and organization skills. Ability to use independent judgment critical thinking and analytical skills. Strong writing/editing interpersonal and verbal communication skills Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft office applications. Interest in working with a diverse student population in higher education. Must be able to work up to 20 hours per week.
Required Qualifications	Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student. Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated) or who is registered for the subsequent semester. In good academic standing (not on academic probation continued probation academic dismissal). Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
