Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a Chopper position with a union metal recycling company located in Portland OR.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate a sit-down forklift to maneuver scrap metal throughout the facility
Operate and maintain a chopper machine
Sort various types of metals (steel aluminum copper etc.)

Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to stand and sit for long periods of time
Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions
Must have at least 3 years of Forklift experience
Must be mechanically inclined
Must be comfortable working off ladders

Wage and benefits:

$23.50/hour (two pay raises within 180 days)
Yearly pay raises
Union position

Schedule:

Monday - Friday
9:00AM - 5:30PM (On Fridays start at 5AM)

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen (we DONT test for THC)
