Job Summary
Our client located in Taylor MI is searching for an experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerk. They operate on 1st 2nd and 3rd shifts Monday-Friday with possible overtime and pay rates range between $16.00 & $16.45 per hour depending on the shift. Candidates MUST have a Valid Drivers License and be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for verifying and keeping records of incoming and outgoing shipments; unpacking and inspecting incoming shipments and matching items to respective shipper and purchase orders; rectifying discrepancies identifying damaged material and communicating this information to appropriate personnel; preparing items for outgoing shipment; entering record of incoming material into material log and ERPs Receipt of Goods Program; tagging material in accordance with quality standards; performing quality checks on receipted material to comply with all related quality standards; distributing/delivering incoming material to the appropriate departments; forwarding packing slip and /or proof of delivery to Accounts Payable; assisting with loading and unloading of trucks; contacting appropriate freight companies (UPS FedEx etc) when necessary and coordinating timely shipments; maintaining raw stock.
