Job Summary

Job Description – Manager (Purchase)
Location: Varanasi Plant
Experience Required: 12 years in Purchase/Procurement of Raw Material (RM) & Packaging Material (PM)

Role & Key Responsibilities

End-to-end purchase of RM/PM and consumables as per production requirements.
Vendor development for local procurement and cost optimization.
Monitor material follow-up and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Oversee receiving and issuing of materials to production per demand.
Manage all SAP transactions: PO creation GRN material issuance.
Conduct monthly physical stock taking and reconcile with book stock.
Implement effective inventory control mechanisms and ensure accuracy.
Review payment ageing reports in coordination with the Accounts team.
Follow-up on vendor and transporter payments to ensure timely settlement.
Identify and implement cost-saving techniques across procurement.
Ensure supply compliance between ordered and received quantities.
Maintain proper documentation for rejected/online rejected materials.
Prepare purchase comparative sheets with supporting quotations to justify purchases.
Execute purchase orders as per defined Share of Business (SOB).
Provide inputs to HO for vendor rating analysis.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in RM/PM purchase in manufacturing/FMCG/beverage sectors.
Strong knowledge of SAP and inventory control.
Excellent vendor management negotiation and cost-reduction skills.
Ability to work in a high-volume fast-paced environment with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
