About the role:
Furniture Manufacturing requires a detail-oriented and proactive Health & Safety Technician to support our on-site safety programs and ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations. The Health & Safety Technician will monitor safety conditions conduct audits and inspections and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Health and Safety
Understand company policies and how these should be interpreted implemented and meet the performance standards in place covering all areas of the department. Assist and advise Managers in H&S issues (accident investigations risk assessments etc)
Documentation
Available and ready for Auditing purposes.
Periodically reviewed revised as necessary and approved for adequacy where required.
Current versions of relevant documents and data are available for use.
Obsolete documents and data are promptly removed from all points of issue and points of use or otherwise assured against unintended use and archival documents and data are retained for legal or knowledge preservation purposes.
Process and coordinate all Employee Liability Claims documentation in line with NEXT procedures
Coordinate MAS & TMSS systems on site.
About you:
You must be PC literate and be able to produce data and reports using Google suite.
Knowledge of Health and Safety systems used at Next would be beneficial but full training will be provided.
NEBOSH qualification is essential.
You will be flexible in approach with some travel required to attend meetings across the Yorkshire Distribution Centres and must hold a full UK driving license.
Previous people management experience would be desirable.
