We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Release Manager to take ownership of our software release process. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced innovative environment where youll coordinate and manage releases across multiple products services and platformsensuring smooth reliable and timely delivery of high-quality software to clients.

Youll work closely with Software Development QA Product and Delivery teams acting as the central point of control for release planning scheduling and communication. This role sits within the Quality Assurance function and reports to the Head of QA.

The position is primarily office-based with flexibility to work from home 2-3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end release process for backend systems and frontend applications including planning coordination deployment communication and post-release support.
Maintain the release calendar and ensure alignment with business priorities and delivery timelines.
Collaborate with Development QA Delivery Client Success and Support teams to manage dependencies risks and quality gates.
Prepare and maintain release documentation including release notes deployment plans and rollback strategies.
Serve as the primary communication point for release progress risks and timelines providing regular updates to stakeholders and leadership.
Provide reporting on release metrics status and risks.
Lead post-release reviews and drive continuous improvement in release processes efficiency and quality.

Essential Experience & Skills

4 years in a Release Manager DevOps or similar coordination role within a software organisation.
Strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle (Agile Scrum).
Experience coordinating releases across APIs web mobile and cloud-based platforms.
Excellent planning problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable working in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated well-organised and able to work autonomously.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Desired Experience & Skills

Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and branching strategies.
Experience with Jira for release management and tracking.
Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Experience within a SaaS environment.
Understanding of video technologies (e.g. transcoding encoding ad insertion metadata manipulation).
