Global Impact Group LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and ISO 9001 / ISO 17100 certified provider of interpretation and translation services. We deliver secure high-quality language access in 80 spoken and signed languages for USCIS and other federal agencies.
We are seeking Haryanvi Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Haryanvi an Indo-Aryan language/dialect spoken in the Haryana region of India is a rare South Asian language sometimes required in asylum and immigration interviews.
- Provide real-time Haryanvi English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews hearings and asylum proceedings.
- Interpret accurately neutrally and with professionalism in immigration and legal contexts.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
- Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests.
- Participate in training compliance refreshers and QA audits.
- Native or near-native fluency in Haryanvi and English (knowledge of Hindi is a plus as many speakers are bilingual).
- 2 years of professional interpreting experience (immigration asylum community or government preferred).
- Strong understanding of interpreter ethics confidentiality and cultural awareness.
- Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
- Competitive pay: $3038/hour (rare-language premium).
