Job Summary:

This Custodian position is a team member of the Wisconsin Union -Facilities Custodian Team. Duties include routine maintenance and cleaning trash removal and upkeep of the Memorial Union Terrace and other duties as needed. Work is performed under the guidance of a Custodial Services Supervisor.

-Position works at UW Madison- Memorial Union. (800 Langdon Street Madison WI 53706)

-Works both outdoors and indoors at Memorial Union.

-Schedule is: Tuesday - Saturday 6:30am-3pm.

-This position is scheduled to end on 11/1/2025. May be extended based on business needs.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains clean and clear walkways to ensure they are free of debris litter snow and ice
  • Monitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances and reports issues to appropriate entities
  • Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment documents inventory and requests additional supplies as needed
  • Documents and reports repairs violations and pest control needs
  • Utilizes basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables
