The Business Support Officer is a vital role which supports the delivery of services that improve the outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
As a Business Support Officer youll ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations through a mix of administration data analysis project support and communication. Youll also manage a team of Senior Business Administrators overseeing their workload and supporting remote and office-based staff.
Working closely with managers schools and health professionals a Business Support Officer will provide high-level business and technical supportincluding financial reconciliation and project coordinationto help safeguard children and enhance their life chances.

The key tasks of the role involve providing effective local financial support to managers by using computerised management information systems to deliver accurate information. This includes investigating financial queries reporting findings and making recommendations for appropriate action. The role also requires operating financial administration and procurement processes in accordance with corporate rules such as raising orders arranging payments requesting invoices and maintaining local financial records. Additionally the role includes managing office supplies and purchasing stock as needed to ensure the smooth operation of administrative services and to support team requirements.
We are seeking individuals who possess an NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration or have equivalent relevant experience. Candidates should have the ability to design develop and implement effective administrative systems that adapt to the changing needs of the service. Experience in supervision or line management is essential along with the ability to organise both personal and team workloads to meet deadlines while remaining calm and effective under pressure.
The role requires a high level of discretion when handling sensitive information ensuring strict confidentiality when necessary. Applicants should have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook and Internet Explorer as well as experience in operating effective administrative management processes. The ability to work independently and take initiative is also crucial.
Key tasks of the role include:

Operate financial administration and procurement processes in compliance with corporate rules. This will include raising orders arranging payments requesting invoices and keeping local financial records.

The people we are looking for will have:
NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration or equivalent relevant experience.
Ability to design develop and implement effective administrative systems to meet changing needs of the service.
Supervision or line management experience.
Ability to organise own and team workload and meet deadlines able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
Ability to exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive information to maintain strict confidentiality where appropriate.
