Summary of the role:

To provide analytical operational and administrative support to global indirect procurement Category Managers. This offshore role is embedded within the global sourcing support model and is responsible for aiding the development and execution of sourcing strategies RFx activities savings tracking and supplier management across categories. The Assistant Manager takes ownership of sourcing processes supplier relationships and stakeholder engagement for sub-categories or projects of low to medium complexity.

Key Results:

• Support delivery of annual GSS team and individual savings targets

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sourcing activities savings and compliance metrics.

• Accurate analysis and reporting on spend supplier proposals market trends and rate comparisons

• Execute sourcing initiatives that balance cost quality risk and business requirements.

• Build and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and category owners

• Support supplier rationalization efforts by consolidating or reducing supplier base by where appropriate.

Additional Information and Key Metrics:

• Track and measure progress against sub-category sourcing strategies and project milestones

• Monitor and support performance compliance and savings delivery.

• Lead sourcing events (RFx e-auction) and contract execution within assigned scope.

• Serve as point of contact for stakeholders on sourcing related issues in assigned region or sub category.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage sourcing execution for assigned sub-categories or regional projects including RFx creation supplier selection negotiation and contracting

• Own regional or sub-category supplier management including ongoing performance tracking and issue resolution

• Partner with global Category Managers to ensure localization and execution of global strategies

• Leverage sourcing tools (RFx platforms e-auctions analytics tools contract management systems) to deliver sourcing outcomesPerform cost benchmarking scenario analysis and support negotiation strategies

• Monitor and report on category KPIs cost savings and sourcing pipeline

• Maintain project timelines status tracking and provide updates to category and sourcing leaders

• Develop executive-level summaries that provide insights and recommendations from sourcing analysis

• Leverage sourcing tools including e-auctions spend analytics and project tracking platforms

• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure sourcing process alignment and issue resolution.

• Data Analysis and Reporting: Gather evaluate and draw conclusions from a range of data sources

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and savings achievements.

  • Easily make connections among previously unrelated notions findings or data points

  • Proactive in sharing anomalies or key data points

  • Adapt reporting output to ensure audience relevance

  • Effectively explain & understand reporting outputs

  • Develop effective executive summaries highlighting implications of information

• Manage the project plan lead ongoing internal and external communication and escalate as necessary.

• Build trusted relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to enable value delivery beyond cost (e.g. risk mitigation service quality innovation)

• Utilization of Sourcing Tools:

  • Deliver Savings reporting and status updates to category managers stakeholder and leadership as necessary

  • Track and measure personal and team Projects in GSS PM tool

  • Leverage critical sourcing technology in the sourcing process.

About you:

• 4-8 years of procurement experience preferably with focus on indirect spend categories such as Distribution and Logistics IT Marketing Facilities HR or Professional Services.

• Strong analytical skills able to synthesize data and generate actionable insights and recommendations

• Excellent Excel skills and experience with spend analysis and cost modeling

• Proven ability to lead sourcing events and manage negotiations with suppliers.

• Experience with sourcing tools (RFx platforms e-auctions contract management systems)

• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously

• Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills across functions and geographies

• Solid understanding of contract terms value drivers and supplier performance management

• Comfortable working in dynamic fast paced environment with shifting priorities.

• Manage cross-functional communications and coordination to achieve project objectives.
