Community Solutions is seeking two enthusiastic and mechanically minded individuals to join a 4-year Apprenticeship in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology with a growing franchise business based in Townsville.

Youll receive wrap-around training and support learning hands-on from industry professionals. The business services a wide range of vehicles and offers everything from standard servicing and logbook maintenance to air conditioning brake repairs fuel injector work and radiator servicing.

What Youll Learn

Youll gain the skills and knowledge to service and repair mechanical components including engines transmissions and suspension systems. Tasks youll be trained in include:

Servicing air conditioning and HVAC systems
Repairing electrical systems
Soft soldering and oxy-acetylene welding
Servicing and maintaining battery electric vehicles
Testing charging and replacing batteries
Communicating effectively in an automotive workplace
Inspecting servicing and repairing auxiliary braking systems

About You

Were looking for individuals who are:

Passionate about cars and working with their hands
Mechanically minded and eager to learn
Reliable with good communication and teamwork skills
Safety-conscious and understand WHS importance
Good with hand-eye coordination and practical tasks
A valid drivers licence (or close to gaining)
Completed or partially completed a Cert II in Automotive or Engineering
