Georges River Council is offering afull-time Apprentice Arborist positionat ourCarlton Depot starting in early 2026. Were looking for motivated individuals who are ready to commit to learning growing and contributing to their community. This is an opportunity to work under the direct supervision of the Team Leader Tree Maintenance to learn the arboriculture trade while completing the Cert III in Aboriculture (Works Coordinator) to become a qualified tradesperson.

What You Will Bring

  • Committed to a structured Apprenticeship Program: Enrolled in or willing to enrol in Aboriculture (Works Coordinator)
  • Commitment to WHS and Teamwork: A strong focus on safety with the ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
  • Customer Service Commitment: A positive attitude strong work ethic to deliver quality work reliability and punctuality
  • Effective Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication to work collaboratively with the team and stakeholders
  • Physical Fitness:Capable of performing manual tasks and working in outdoor environments often on your feet and in varied conditions
