Job Description

Senior Supplier Program Management Specialist

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Supplier Program Management Specialist (Level 4) to join Boeings Exploration Systems Supply Chain team on the Space Launch Systems (SLS) program supporting Exploration Upper Stage (EUS) in either New Orleans Louisiana or Kennedy Space Center Florida.

This role will fill a critical need to support schedule acceleration and execution to meet the needs of our NASA customer. This position will work closely with key EUS suppliers SLS Program Leadership and Supply Chain Leadership.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical and business guidance to integrate strategic supply chain activities
  • Leads stakeholder relationships and performance throughout all contract phases
  • Conducts and guides supplier assessments
  • Develops current and projected work statement
  • Leads and establishes the basis for recovery corrective and preventative action plans
  • Communicates supplier and organization performance plans risks issues and opportunities to stakeholders
  • Develops and executes work movement plans

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Technical Bachelors Masters or a PhD degree. (A technical degree is defined as any four year degree or greater in a mathematic scientific or information technology field of study)
  • More than 3 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
  • More than 3 years of experience working with Supplier Management Supply Chain and/or Procurement practices and processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • More than 3 years of experience working in development environment in Engineering Supply Chain Program or Project Management
  • More than 3 years of experience managing troubled suppliers
  • More than 5 years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years related work.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 50% of the time.

Summary pay range: $110500 - $136500
