Location:Milan Italy - On-site presence required 4 days per week

Abbott is seeking aReact Software Developer to significantly contribute to building the next release of product features and system design. It provides huge opportunities to work at all levels from the front-end user experience to a set of robust back-end services. You should be somebody who enjoys development and working on complex system software and is passionate about building quality software as well as achieving operational excellence. A commitment to team work hustle and strong communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Development of a new product in core diagnostics based in React
- Analyzing customer needs (via use cases requirements or like) design and development of software.
- Creating and maintaining documentation for the artifacts created during the SDLC.
- Cooparation with other members of the IT team to ensure continuous improvement and iterative evolution of the informatics applications.
- Design and implementation of one or more features as assigned on individual programs.
- Interact with project managers product owners and R&D leadership on project scope timeline risks and budget.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- 2 years of experience in SW development
- Hands-on experience in Javascript/Typescript (React)
- C# framework
- SQL (PostgreSQL and Oracle)
- Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Fluent in English
- Availability to go to the office 4 days per week
Preferred Skills
- Unit Testing and Integration Testing
- Git (version control)
- Agile practices (Scrum is preferred)
- Cloud services (Microsoft Azure is preferred)
- Cybersecurity practices and secure-by-design patterns
- Containerized applications (Docker and/or Kubernetes)
- REST/RESTful API design
- SOLID principles
