Role Overview
In Coupang Ads we build one of the fastest growing advertising platforms based on Coupangs e-commerce platform. Coupang is investing in building a world-class online marketing business where we run relevant ads and promotions across our website and mobile app.
Offsite Advertising is a product where we offer the opportunity to integrate advertising beyond Coupangs website and apps to Coupangs affiliate partners and other popular advertising channels in South Korea and beyond such as Google Facebook Naver Coupangs affiliate partner network and various ad exchange networks.
This is an opportunity to be part of building up a new development organization with strong revenue potential inside a successful company. Were building full-stack engineering teams to handle large scale advertising problems including real-time behavioral targeting auctioning and bidding systems this role you will be responsible forinnovatingand buildingad serving systems specific to offsite advertising on ad exchanges and publisher networks.
What You Will Do
Design and implement scalable high-performance workflow infrastructure usingtechnologies such as Temporal and Netflix Conductor.
Benchmark platform performance collect and analyze system metrics and publishperformance reports.
Ensure platform reliability and uptime targeting high availability through robustmonitoring and alerting systems.
Estimate system capacity and provision clusters to support diverse customerworkloads.
Monitor production systems respond to incidents and proactively address root causesto improve operational excellence.
Analyze and contribute to open-source platform components and codebases.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure platform extensibility andsupport innovation.
Utilize SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g. Cassandra MySQL) for data storage andretrieval.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer science Electrical Engineering Math or a closely relatedfield
6 years of experience in backend software development
Proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework
Experience working in cloud environments particularly AWS
Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining highly available distributedsystems
Preferred Qualifications
Strong communication skills for interfacing with technical teams business stakeholdersand end users
Familiarity with Agile development practices including code reviews testing and CI/CDpipelines
Proven ability to lead and collaborate in cross-functional fast-paced environments
Experience managing mission-critical services with high throughput and low latency
Pay & Benefits
Our compensation reflects the cost of living across several US geographic markets. AtCoupang your base pay is one part of your total compensation. The base pay for this positionranges from $142000/year in our lowest geographic market to $309000/year in our highestgeographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may varydepending on job-related knowledge skills and experience.
