We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client a leading company based in Northern Ireland for an experienced Hydraulic Fitter. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team where you will be responsible for installing assembling maintaining and repairing hydraulic systems and components.
Working from technical drawings and schematics you will carry out diagnostics troubleshoot equipment failures and ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and quality standards. The role may also involve supporting product development and occasional work on customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Assembly
Install and assemble hydraulic systems including power units manifolds pumps and piping.
Select fit and install hydraulic hoses and components to meet project specifications and deadlines.
Assemble and align components using hand and power tools ensuring secure and accurate connections.
Maintenance & Repair
Perform routine inspections to identify wear leaks or malfunctions.
Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic failures identifying root causes.
Repair and maintain hydraulic equipment including replacing defective parts and components.
Technical Skills & Documentation
Read and interpret hydraulic schematics blueprints and technical drawings.
Apply the correct tools and follow the proper torquing procedures according to company standards.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
Safety & Teamwork
Follow all safety protocols company policies and industry best practices.
Work collaboratively with engineers and colleagues to resolve technical issues.
Support continuous improvement and product development initiatives.
Other Requirements
Attend training sessions as required and maintain relevant certifications.
Carry out any other duties reasonably assigned by management.
What Were Looking For
Previous experience as a hydraulic fitter or in a similar mechanical role.
Strong technical skills with the ability to read and work from technical drawings.
Commitment to safety teamwork and high-quality workmanship.
