Job Description
Location: Pretoria Gauteng
Employment Type: Full-time On-site
We are seeking a highly skilled Draughtsman to join a well-established sheet metal manufacturing business based in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate drawings assisting with project execution and ensuring designs are converted into production-ready files. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong CAD skills and knowledge of sheet metal processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret client drawings and specifications accurately.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings for sheet metal manufacturing.
- Convert drawings into CAD packages and prepare cutting files for production.
- Assist with internal audits and maintain compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with project teams on design requirements and quality checks.
- Follow-up on completed drawings and ensure accuracy of final products.
- Compile data packages and maintain technical documentation.
- Use measuring tools to verify components and identify materials.
- Support management with ad hoc tasks as required.
- Relevant qualification in Draughting or Mechanical/Design field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks AutoCAD or similar).
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes (laser cutting bending forming machining).
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
