Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality 2D and 3D technical drawings for mechanical and structural components.
- Develop accurate models assemblies and complete drawing packages using Advanced Steel and SolidWorks.
- Ensure all drawings comply with engineering standards project specifications and manufacturing requirements.
- Revise and update drawings as projects evolve through design fabrication and installation phases.
- Work closely with engineers project managers and workshop teams to resolve drawing-related queries.
- Maintain drawing templates documentation systems and CAD standards.
- Conduct internal drawing checks to ensure accuracy completeness and manufacturability.
Minimum Requirements
- 36 years proven experience as a Draughtsman in a mechanical structural or industrial engineering environment.
- Advanced Steel and SolidWorks proficiency (essential).
- Strong understanding of steel structures mechanical components and fabrication processes.
- Ability to read interpret and convert engineering concepts into accurate technical drawings.
- Relevant draughting qualification or certification.
- Excellent attention to detail problem-solving skills and organisational discipline.
Key Competencies
- High technical accuracy and strong 3D modelling skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple drawing tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong documentation and design standard compliance.
