A well-established engineering and manufacturing company is seeking a highly skilled Draughtsman with 36 years experience and strong proficiency in Advanced Steel and SolidWorks. This role is ideal for a detail-driven draughting professional who thrives in a fast-paced project environment and enjoys collaborating with engineers and fabrication teams.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Produce high-quality 2D and 3D technical drawings for mechanical and structural components.
Develop accurate models assemblies and complete drawing packages using Advanced Steel and SolidWorks.
Ensure all drawings comply with engineering standards project specifications and manufacturing requirements.
Revise and update drawings as projects evolve through design fabrication and installation phases.
Work closely with engineers project managers and workshop teams to resolve drawing-related queries.
Maintain drawing templates documentation systems and CAD standards.
Conduct internal drawing checks to ensure accuracy completeness and manufacturability.

Minimum Requirements

36 years proven experience as a Draughtsman in a mechanical structural or industrial engineering environment.
Advanced Steel and SolidWorks proficiency (essential).
Strong understanding of steel structures mechanical components and fabrication processes.
Ability to read interpret and convert engineering concepts into accurate technical drawings.
Relevant draughting qualification or certification.
Excellent attention to detail problem-solving skills and organisational discipline.
