As an Academic Counselor at IPCS Global you will be responsible for providing academic advice support and guidance to students helping them navigate their educational journey effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring that students make informed decisions about their academic pursuits leading to their overall growth and development. You will be involved in projects that focus on student success academic planning and career development.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-on-one academic counseling sessions with students to understand their goals and challenges.
- Provide guidance on course selection academic planning and career pathways.
- Assist students in developing study skills time management techniques and exam preparation strategies.
- Monitor students academic progress and intervene when needed to address any issues.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success initiatives.
- Organize workshops and seminars on academic topics to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Stay updated on educational trends and best practices in academic counseling.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions and counseling sessions.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Education Counseling Psychology or related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and understanding towards students academic challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of academic advising principles and practices.
- Experience in student counseling or advising is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and educational software.
