Introduction

Do you have experience of delivering and overseeing parenting programmes and volunteersDo you have a passion for ensuring that families children and young people receive the right support at the right time Are you a confident manager with the skills to support volunteers and staff with delivering high quality parenting intervention Then apply for the role of Senior Parenting Practitioner within Lewisham Family Hubs!

Whats the role

  • To train lead and support a team of Parent Group Leaders (volunteers) to enable them to provide high-quality parenting programmes in Family Hubs other sites and also online.
  • To coordinate and deliver parenting surgeries and programmes across Lewisham including but not limited to various EPEC manuals and Reducing Parental Conflict on a 1:1 and group basis.
  • To support the Family Hubs Manager in the planning delivery evaluation and reporting of high-quality parenting programmes.

What were looking for:

You will have an eye for accuracy and can ensure quality and consistency when delivering parenting interventions within a Family Hubs context. You will have a passion for ensuring that families children and young people receive the right support at the right time with a view of reducing any escalation of need and reliance on statutory services. You will have experience of leading a team and working with a range of stakeholders including professional partners and residents. You will have a passion for ensuring that services are accessible inclusive and accessed by seldom heard groups.

Location

The job is primarily based across all Family Hubs within Lewisham but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

Special conditions

  • Weekend working is required for this job
  • The job is subject to an enhanced DBS check

Salary

42912 - 44235 per annum (SO2)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale) which is subject to evidential proof.
