Job Summary
We at Leggett & Platt Inc. are searching for a Grounds Technician to help support our business. As a Grounds Technician you will have knowledge of general lawn care and landscaping and enjoy the outdoors both in heat and cold. This is a full-time position at our corporate office in Carthage MO. The hours for this position are Tuesday-Friday 6 am - 4 pm.
So what will you be doing as a Grounds Technician
- Perform the daily grounds work schedule of maintaining the lawns flower beds and landscaping duties
- Conduct daily inspections of grounds and assigned areas
- Winter-time snow removal
- Perform corrective and preventative care for grounds equipment irrigation system and other assigned tasks
To be successful in this role youll need:
- Must be 18 years or older
- High School/GED or equivalent vocational training
- Valid drivers license and dependable transportation
- Previous hands-on grounds experience in operating various mowers tractors and equipment
- Good communication and people skills
- Must be able to work overtime or on-call as needed
- Be able to lift 50 lbs. or more and be on your feet standing carrying lifting and or walking several hours outdoors each workday
