Job Description
The Clerk of Court Office isseekinga detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to provide vital administrative support within the Civil this role you will help ensure the smooth andaccurateflow of court operations by applying knowledge of routine court policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include reviewing and categorizing cases making docket entries recording court documents verifying files for completeness posting fees receiving paymentsandreceiving and processingeFileddocuments. Just as important you will be on the front line of serviceassistingcourt users and ensuring they receive professionaltimely and respectful support.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced team-oriented environment values accuracy andtakes pride in supporting the mission of the Clerks Office to serve the community with excellence.
Essential Duties- Receiving processing andmaintaininga variety of court-related documents in assigned area of responsibility. Reviewing documents for proper signature ensuring fields are completed verifying standard or basic data and explains court documents.
- Maintaining case file information which mayinclude:determininggeneral case categories; making docket entries; assigning case numbers; case information data entry; and/or verification of electronically filed information.
- Performing routine customer service and clerical duties which mayinclude:greeting customers; answering phones; making copies; filing; electronically scanning and transmitting paperwork; entering data and/or typing standard documents; preparing sorting and distributing mail.
- Providingassistanceto the public attorneys court personnel and other interested partiesregardingrequests for information information discrepancies complaints and other related information.
- Assistingwithmaintainingcaseloads for assigned area of responsibility.
- Receiving payments issuing receiptsrecordingand posting receipts.
- Performing other duties of a similar nature or level.
Grade
The grade for this position is B22(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
Effective 4/11/2023 this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or GED
- Three years of progressively responsible court experience (civil or domestic experience preferred)
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
- Applicants must be minimum age 21
- License requirements upon attainment of position - Eligible to be sworn in as Deputy Clerk; GCIC Certification
- Odyssey or Enterprise Justice Case Management System experience preferred
- Incumbents to be bonded
