Summary of Role:
The Service Operations Technician role in TOM executes critical operational job runs file transfers or other scriptable tasks and fulfillment of requests to ensure optimal technology performance and user role performs account administration tasks for assigned technology. Role executes operational changes as defined in run books and includes performing basic diagnostics to ensure Broadview maintains a high performing environment.
The role executes tasks as a support representative of the Technology Team. The role executes operational changes to technology as defined in work orders and includes collecting customer requests and data basic troubleshooting executing tasks in run books providing information monitoring state of systems on/off boarding access to systems running and monitoring computer operation jobs updating documentation and transferring files.
The role participates in project deployments within TOM as defined by the project plans. The role assists with performance assessments for technology equipment to evaluate reliability. The role executes technical proficiencies in supporting Service Level Agreements and assists in ensuring employees are able to access systems applications and information.
The role reliably works with managed service vendors and has competencies escalating technology issues. The Service Operations Technician role supports level one equipment problem escalations. The Service Operations Technician fulfills run book tasks and user requests and includes interfacing with Technology Operations Management Engineering Delivery lines of business and vendors for problem resolution.
The Service Operations Technician interfaces with internal and external technical resources and contributes to Broadviews service roadmap.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Respond to user inquiries assess problems and issues with IT equipment and applications and help resolve these issues via phone or ticketing system.
Perform daily end of month end of quarter and year end computer operations tasks.
Perform quality review tasks.
Update dashboards.
Monitor systems and report exceptions and status to appropriate technology owner.
Perform preventative maintenance routines and business continuity tasks such as backups and alternate computer operations BCP testing.
Transfer data files and reports into a predefined repository.
Create and maintain computer operations checklists and workflow diagrams.
Maintain Service Desk policies procedures and standards.
Planned On Call
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Experience
High School degree and certifications in information systems or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 years minimum - performing computer operations.
Skills
Project teamwork
Ability to think and work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work under pressure.
Hands-on technical work.
Interfacing with Managed Service Providers
Change Control Practices
Excellent communication skills
Working within a service desk environment
Customer service skills.
Microsoft 365 knowledge and experience.
Starting Compensation:$26.05-$31.91/hr. plus a competitive benefits package
