Amazon Japan is looking for a seasoned Program Manager to innovate and transform the delivery experience for Amazons core product category. As the single-threaded leader for Japan Books delivery experience you will drive strategic initiatives that impact millions of customers. You will own a key part of the customer experience collaborating with global retail and business partners to identify supply chain defects drive process improvements and build innovative solutions across our Fulfillment Centers and last-mile logistics.
Were looking for a talented leader to help us invent simplify and lead automation initiatives while driving significant free cash flow goals. This program is critical to Japan Books supply chain transformation and 2028 network strategy with high senior leadership visibility. The role will give you a unique view on Amazon systems processes and operations interacting with Retail Operations Fulfillment Centers Transportation and technical teams.
The ideal candidate is an analytical problem-solver who can balance a deep understanding of customer experience with supply chain optimization. The ability to drive programs from conception through implementation at pace is essential. Success requires strong stakeholder management the ability to influence across organizations and excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Key job responsibilities
Work backwards from customers needs/pain points and translate them into business requirements that address the needs of millions of customers.
Define and deliver important programs with broad cross-functional and cross-organizational business impact.
Leverage data intelligence to make bold strategic decisions.
Strategically prioritize initiatives with maximum customer impact and manage milestones and overall roadmap. Create buy-in for the vision both internally and with key external partners.
Drive business performance reviews with senior leaders to identify gaps and implement remediation actions.
Partner with stakeholders across Japan Books Operations Inbound Quality Vendor managers as well as counterparts around the globe.
Contribute to annual and 3-year planning.

You will be expected to use effective mechanisms to stay connected with your global counterparts and advocate for Japanese Books customers in all forums.
- 5 years of program or project management experience
- Bachelors degree in business engineering operations supply chain transportation logistics
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience in leading large cross functional projects
- Experience in stakeholder management dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to think big and innovate while being comfortable with ambiguity
- Experience identifying and resolving complex issues
- Experience in driving end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience of Six Sigma/ Lean analytical techniques
- Experience delivering large-scale go-to-market (GTM) execution
