Job Description
Position: Software Tester
We are seeking a skilled Software Tester with a minimum of 7 years of experience to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing writing exhaustive test cases and working in an agile environment with tools such as Jira and Confluence. The successful candidate will also be adept at writing clear acceptance criteria for functional requirements possess excellent communication skills a strong sense of ownership and exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Writing comprehensive and exhaustive test cases covering all functional requirements of the software.
- Executing test cases and reporting defects to the development team.
- Working closely with the development team to understand user stories and translate them into test cases.
- Collaborating with product manager to ensure clear acceptance criteria for user stories.
- Participating in sprint planning daily stand-ups and sprint reviews as part of an agile development team.
- Utilizing agile tools such as Jira and Confluence to track testing activities and document test results.
- Identifying and reporting software quality issues in a clear and concise manner.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of the software testing process and methodologies.
- Proactively seeking to understand the business requirements and ensuring that they are accurately reflected in the testing process.
- Demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and accountability for the quality of the software being delivered.
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
- Minimum 7 years IT experience with minimum 5 years of experience in software testing.
- Proficiency in writing comprehensive test cases covering all functional requirements.
- Experience working in an agile environment utilizing tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to add concise acceptance criteria for user stories.
- Understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for project deliverables.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
